Look at the fourfold image to the right of the pyramid complex of the Old Kingdom Egypt. "The pyramid complex in the Old Kingdom can be seen as a four-staged journey to holiness. The mental movement follows the light from the east (where the sun comes up) to the west (where the sun goes down) and can be divided in four stages:

1. The temple near the river Nile connects the living with earth, water and day-to-day life;

2. The (covered) road represents the choice in a visible world and leads in a linear direction towards the holy;

3. The temple of the dead in front of the pyramid is the preparation at the end of the road;

4. The pyramid is the ultimate four-fold manifestation of the world of the dead and afterlife on this world."

Martin Kuilman articulates the fourfold nature of the Egyptian pantheon

"The cyclic nature in the four-fold division of the world of the gods is well developed in northern Egypt (Heliopolis), and particularly in the later dynasties (GOFF, 1979; WOLDERING, 1981). The framework of the supra-natural universe is a combination of two- and fourfold units adding up to a nine-fold unity, the so-called ‘Ennead of Heliopolis’ (fig. 80). The creation-myth starts with Atum (generated from his own)(I), begetting Sjoe and Tefnoet as female and male children (II). This couple begets Geb (earth) and Noet (heaven)(III). They, in turn, have four children: Osiris, Isis, Seth en Nepthys (IV). In a later stage a differentiation of the four-fold division takes place: Isis and Horus are a holy nine-fold and Nepthys and Osiris create Anubis. The basic division is, however, is represented above in a diagram."

Theories of the evolution of horses have consistently grouped horses into four groups, with the fourth different. Notice how Edwards adds a transcendent fourth type to the three, fulfilling the three plus one pattern

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_horse_domestication_theories

A theory associated with James Cossar Ewart in Scotland and Johann Ulrich Duerst in Germany postulated three primitive horse types, considered subspecies of Equus caballus, as ancestors of modern breeds. They were:[4]

  • "Forest Horse", Equus caballus germanicus, descendant of a "Diluvial Horse", Equus caballus silvaticus

  • Asiatic Wild Horse or Przewalski horse, then considered Equus caballus przewalskii

  • Tarpan, then considered Equus caballus gmelini.

To these Elwyn Hartley Edwards adds a fourth, the "Tundra Horse", supposedly ancestor of the Yakut pony, and "largely unconsidered by hippologists".[4]

A later theory associated with European scholars such as Jimmy SpeedRuy d'AndradeHermann Ebhardt and Edward Skorkowski, postulated four basic body types, which were not considered to be named species.[4] They were:

  • Pony Type 1, in northwestern Europe, resistant to cold and wet, similar to the modern Exmoor pony

  • Pony Type 2, in northern Eurasia, larger than type 1, resistant to cold, similar to the modern Highland pony and Fjord horse

  • Horse Type 1, in central Asia, resistant to heat and drought, similar to the modern Sorraia and Akhal-Teke

  • Horse Type 2, in western Asia, small and fine-boned, resistant to heat, similar to the modern Caspian horse.

American paleontologist Deb Bennett[5][6] postulated that the early form of E. caballus developed into seven subspecies,[7] of which four supposedly contributed most to the ancestry of the domesticated horse, both directly and via assorted crossbred lineages between them.[8] These were:

Horses also have four gaits

Horses have four gaits including the four-beat walk

https://www.hiddentrails.com/article/horses_gaits.aspx

All horses move naturally with four basic gaits: the four-beat walk, which averages 6.4 kilometers per hour (4.0 mph); the two-beat trot or jog, which averages 13 to 19 kilometers per hour (8.1 to 12 mph)); and the leaping gaitsknown as the canter or lope a three-beat gait that is 19 to 24 kilometers per hour (12 to 15 mph), and the gallop a four beat movement which averages 40 to 48 kilometers per hour (25 to 30 mph). These gaits can be found on most of our Hidden Trails equestrian trips.

Besides these basic gaits, some horses perform a two-beat pace, instead of the trot. In addition, there are several four-beat "ambling" gaits that are approximately the speed of a trot or pace, though smoother to ride. These include the lateral slow gaitrackrunning walk, and tölt as well as the diagonal fox trot.  Ambling gaits are often genetic traits in specific breeds, known collectively as gaited horses. In most cases, gaited horses replace the standard trot with one of the ambling gaits.

The oldest computer, the antikythera mechanism, presents the quadrant

This video discusses all of the 16s in the Hagia Sophia, but at 7:30 she gives a few examples, including the 16 Great Columns in the Nave, 16 Columns in the side aisles 16 circles with theta band, and 16 quatrefoils at the queens art gallery. I saw a lot more 16s in a different video on the Hagia Sophia but I forget them now. There are 16 squares in the quadrant model. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q3rOdkfQgAc. She says that the White Column marbles have a 6-1-16 number progression at 7:40. At 8:30 she talks about the 16 green columns and the 16 purple columns. There are also 16 excedrae in each corner she describes at 9:40. At 16:30 she talks about how musicians in the Hagia Sophia could be located at any of four levels.

Mozart used a four note figure as the basis of his Jupiter symphony. I described that the God's Jupiter and Zeus were represented by the number four. Mozart used this four note figure in many symphonies. As I discussed, symphonies originally were usually three movements, but by the time of Mozart they became four movements. The fourth is transcendent. Mozart's teacher was the "Father of the string quartet". Quartet is four.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Symphony_No._41_(Mozart)

"In the trio section of the movement, the four-note figure that will form the main theme of the last movement appears prominently (bars 68–71), but on the seventh degree of the scale rather than the first, and in a minor key rather than a major, giving it a very different character.

The four-note theme is a common plainchant motif which can be traced back at least as far as Josquin des Prez's Missa Pange lingua from the sixteenth century. It was very popular with Mozart. It makes a brief appearance as early as his Symphony No. 1 in 1764. Later, he used it in the Credo of an early Missa Brevis in F major, the first movement of his Symphony No. 33 and trio of the minuet of this symphony.[6]

Scholars are certain Mozart studied Michael Haydn's Symphony No. 28 in C major, which also has a fugato in its finale and whose coda he very closely paraphrases for his own coda. Charles Sherman speculates that Mozart also studied Michael Haydn's Symphony No. 23 in D major because he "often requested his father Leopold to send him the latest fugue that Haydn had written."[7] The Michael Haydn No. 39, written only a few weeks before Mozart's, also has a fugato in the finale, the theme of which begins with two whole notes. Sherman has pointed out other similarities between the two almost perfectly contemporaneous works. The four-note motif is also the main theme of the contrapuntal finale of Michael's elder brother Joseph's Symphony No. 13 in D major (1764)."

James Horner is a composer who is famous for his four note "danger motif". The youtube video to the right shows many examples of the motif that he recycles in many movies, yet a lot of people say they still love it even when they hear it again and again.

Fig. 80 – The ennead of Heliopolis represented as a possible development of division thinking.

The division of Creation is a combination of two pairs of opposites, made up by the top-members of the ennead (1 – 4; 2 – 3):

1.  Re       (sun and heaven),

2.  Shu     (the air),

                                                         —

3.  Geb     (the earth)

4.  Osiris   (the underworld),

The scheme in Memphis (Sakkara), south of Cairo, is different, although there are also nine gods involved. The southern influence of (the eight gods of) Hermopolis is joined here with Ptah (the creating god) into a unit of nine. The text which describes this event is engraved into the ‘Shabaka Stone‘, around 700 BC. and now in the British Museum. The sources of this text are much older and go back from the First to the Fourth Dynasty (2925 – 2450 BC.).

The suggestion in fig. 81 is an effort to visualize the spiritual development of the gods of Memphis, who reached a strong presence in the Nineteenth Dynasty (1307 – 1196 BC.), under pharaohs like Seti I and Ramses II.

The primal unity, the god Horus (I), generates a primary four-fold division, represented by his sons (II). The two-fold division of Ptah and Sechmet (III) makes up the visible part of the spectrum and is – later – jointed by Nefertum to form a trinity, sometimes expanded by Imhotep, the builder of the step pyramid of Zoser (2630 BC.), into a tetradic pluriformity. The third quadrant (III), as the position of the physical observations and creations, remains the most important. Pta, ‘the very great one’, is historically the centre-point, who joins with the local goddess Sechmet, shaped as a lion.

Tetra is four. Tetracyclics are used in psychiatry. There is the dichotomy between tricyclics in psychiatry and tetracyclics once again. Similarly there are trivalent and quadrivalent vaccines. Quadrivalent are rare and different/transcendent. Quadrivalent vaccines fight against four different viruses, whereas trivalent three.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tetracyclic_antidepressant

"Tetracyclic antidepressants (TeCAs) are a class of antidepressants that were first introduced in the 1970s. They are named after their chemical structure, which contains four rings of atoms, and are closely related to the tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs), which contain three rings of atoms. Skeletal formula of tetracyclic antidepressant mirtazapine. Note its four fused "rings"."

In stratigraphy and geology, an eonothem is the totality of rock strata laid down in the stratigraphic record deposited during a certain eon of the continuous geologic timescale. The eonothem is not to be confused with the eon itself, which is a corresponding division of geologic time spanning a specific amount of (millions of) years, during which rocks were formed that are classified within the eonothem. In practice, the rock column is discontinuous:

Eonothems have the same names as their corresponding eons, which means during the history of the Earth only four eonothems were formed. Oldest to newest these are the Hadean, Archean, Proterozoic, and Phanerozoic.

Drosophilia melanogaster is used as a model organism in biological studies because it is very simple, haivng four pairs of chromosomes. The fourth pair is different from the previous three. I remember my biology professor at UCSD mentioning the fruit fly and saying that it was used because of its four chromosomes.

It has only four pairs of chromosomes: three autosomes, and one pair of sex chromosomes.

There was a lot of other examples I remember seeing online back then but I forget a lot now and don't know how to explain it. That was before I would write all of the examples I saw onling. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drosophila_melanogaster

There are also four types of extraembryonic membrane in reptiles and monotremes, including humans. They are the 1. Yolk sac 2. Amnion 3. Allantois and 4. Chorion. http://www.yourarticlelibrary.com/biology/human-reproduction/4-types-of-extra-embryonic-membranes-biology/26835/

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extraembryonic_membrane

"There are four standard extraembryonic membranes in birds, reptiles, and mammals: the yolk sac which surrounds the yolk, the amnion which surrounds and cushions the embryo, the allantois which among avians stores embryonic waste and assists with the exchange of carbon dioxide with oxygen as well as the resorption of calcium from the shell, and the chorion which surrounds all of these and in avians successively merges with the allantois in the later stages of egg development to form a combined respiratory and excretory organ called the chorioallantois."

BLT's are very popular and have four ingredients

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BLT

A BLT (Bacon, Lettuce, and Tomato) is a type of bacon sandwich. The standard BLT is made up of four ingredients: baconlettucetomato, and bread

I went to the snus store on Abbot Kinney, and they advertised their four ingredients on the wall with the poster to the right

http://mrkeger.com/4-ingredients/

"SNUS IS A SMOKELESS TOBACCO. GENERAL SNUS, WHICH HAS BEEN AROUND SINCE 1866, HAS A VERY UNIQUE STORY IT CONTAINS ONLY 4 INGREDIENTS: SALT, WATER, TOBACCO AND A CITRUS FRUIT. SO FOR THIS CAMPAIGN WE DECIDED TO HIGHLIGHT THAT FACT. WE TOLD THAT STORY THROUGH A BOOKLET, PRINT ADS, A MUSIC VIDEO AND WE ALSO OPENED A POP-UP STORE IN LOS ANGELES, AT ABBOT KINNEY BLVD."

Snus is from Switzerland. The flag of Switzerland and many other countries is a quadrant. Even the flag of Korea has four forms from the ICHING.

Le labo had 16 fragrances, 15 and the transcendent 15th. A tea place I went to had 12 plus four (three plus one) flavours on Abbot Kinney. At Toms on Abbot Kinney the sold four products that they advertised on the window as four figures, and the money from those four would go to four separate charities related to the products. I had seen soda machines with four by four options in quadrant formation. I have seen a lot of beauty products where they have three regular ones and a fourth transcendent one. Proactiv kind of works on that format. On my quadrant pages, especially on FaceBook, you can see a lot of examples of the three plus one phenomena in reality. Over the years I saw a ton of quadrant examples but a lot of it I forgot.

A fourth mysterious line of humans. The fourth is always different

https://www.livescience.com/41610-ancient-human-sex.html

A new, improved sequencing of ancient human relative genomes reveals that Homo sapiens didn't only have sex with Neanderthals and a little-understood line of humans called Denisovans. A fourth, mystery lineage of humans was in the mix, too.

Lalueza-Fox said the question of the mystery fourth ancestor is a "paleontological debate," but that the genetic work done by Reich and his colleagues opens the door to a deeper understanding of the individual diversity of ancient human ancestors. New techniques will enable researchers to tease out original DNA from later contaminants, he said.

I have heard a pastor give a sermon that the watch/clock is divided into four parts like the cross.

The word kike, a derogatory word against Jews, comes from the word circle. When Jews came to America, a lot of them did not know how to spell their names, so they were supposed to make X's if they were not able to spell. But instead of making X's, Jews made O's, so as not to make a form that resembled the cross. During the middle ages Jews would add a fifth vault line to the four vault line ceilings because they did not want there to be a cross/quadrant on the ceiling, which might be interpretted as christian. I posted articles on this stuff and a lot of other interesting topics in the quadrant model website.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kike

The word kike was born on Ellis Island when there were Jewish migrants who were also illiterate (or could not use Latin alphabet letters). When asked to sign the entry-forms with the customary "X", the Jewish immigrants would refuse, because they associated an X with the cross of Christianity. Instead, they drew a circle as the signature on the entry-forms. The Yiddish word for "circle" is kikel (pronounced KY-kul), and for "little circle", kikeleh (pronounced KY-kul-uh). Before long the immigration inspectors were calling anyone who signed with an "O" in place of an "X" a kikel or kikeleh or kikee or, finally and succinctly, kike.

My friend told me a tradition where if you see a penny of Abraham Lincoln, you are supposed to pick up the penny, and make an X where you picked it up. The x is a symbol of the cross. Abraham Lincoln and four other presidents are on Mt. Rushmore in a three plus one pattern.

Mount Rushmore features 60-foot (18 m) sculptures of the heads of four United States presidentsGeorge Washington (1732–1799), Thomas Jefferson (1743–1826), Theodore Roosevelt (1858–1919), and Abraham Lincoln (1809–1865)

http://www.iwojima.com/raising/raisingc.htm There are six Flag Raisers on the famous Iwo Jima photo. Four in the front line and two in back. The front four are (left to right) Ira Hayes, Franklin Sousley, Harold Schultz and Harlon Block.

Photograph 51 of Rosalind Franklin was used to discover the structure of DNA. The photograph was of a cross/quadrant. I watched a movie on the discovery of DNA in my biology class at UCSD and they showed Watson and Crick analyzing this photograph

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Photo_51

Photograph 51 is the nickname given to an X-ray diffraction image of DNA taken by Raymond Gosling in May 1952, working as a PhD student under the supervision of Rosalind Franklin,[1][2][3][4] at King's College London in Sir John Randall's group. It was critical evidence[5] in identifying the structure of DNA.[6]

James Watson was shown the photo by Maurice Wilkins without Rosalind Franklin's approval or knowledge (although by this time Gosling had returned to the supervision of Wilkins). Along with Francis Crick, Watson used characteristics and features of Photo 51 to develop the chemical model of the DNA molecule. In 1962, the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine was awarded to Watson, Crick and Wilkins. The prize was not awarded to Franklin; she had died four years earlier, and the Nobel Prize's rules require that it be awarded only to living persons.[7]

TETRA MEANS FOUR

Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) refers to a psychotropic cannabinoid (dronabinol, trade name Marinol) and is the principal psychoactive constituent of cannabis.

Four neural tube subdivisions each eventually develop into distinct regions of the central nervous system by the division of neuroepithelial cells: the forebrain (prosencephalon), the midbrain (mesencephalon), the hindbrain (rhombencephalon) and the spinal cord.

The ancient TO world maps divided the world into three parts, but the T inside the O was likened to a cross. Later world maps and simultaneous world maps divided the world into four regions. There were four main types of world maps

Crates of Mallus created the earliest world map. He divided the world into four quadrants in his famous globe.

It seems to have been Crates’ idea that the earth’s surface, when represented on a sphere, should appear as divided into four island-like habitable regions. On the one hemisphere, which is formed by a meridional plane cutting the sphere, lies our own oecumeneor habitable world, and that of the Antoecians in corresponding longitude and in opposite latitude; on the other hemisphere lies the oecumene of the Perioecians in our latitude and in opposite longitude, and that of the Antipodes in latitude and longitude opposite to us http://cartographic-images.net/Cartographic_Images/115_Strabo.html

There are four shapes of chicken nuggets. In N Out is marked by cross trees and the kids can play a 16 square four by four sticker game at In N Out. I asked them how long they had the game and they told me that In N Out always ahd it. In N Out disallows burgers larger than four by four. Four is transcendent. Five is questionable. "Matching In-N-Out's California-inspired palm treetheme, palm trees are sometimes planted to form an "X" in front of the restaurants. This is an allusion to founder Harry Snyder's favorite movie, Stanley Kramer's It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, in which the characters look for a hidden treasure and find it under "the big W" made by four palm trees, with the middle two forming an "X"."[61]https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In-N-Out_Burger

Dance Dance revolution uses a four arrow dance pad. Four square is a popular game where you bounce the ball between four squares.

In the song Motion Man says "North East South West Coast" and at 44 seconds a map is shown humorously with the East and the West backwards. The four directions are a quadrant https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wuN2zn_Tsmo

Hindus also have 16 life stages called samsakaras and there are 16 steps in Puja (worshipping of idols). THere are 16 squares in tehq uadrant model.

In Yoruba and other African geomancy there are 16 figures and also a lot of use of four cowrie shells and other fours. Mainly four is used. The four is supreme.

Nakashatras have four parts and Hindus name their children based off of these four parts. Muslims even have a ritual they do on the fourth day of the fourth month fourth year so on and so fourth. I forgot it now though.

https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-origin-and-significance-of-a-Hindu-persons-name-starting-with-a-specific-sound-or-syllable

The letters ascribed to each quarter of Nakshatra is a later day development just to know the degree of Nakshatra for calculating the Dasha of planets and it has no meaning whatsoever . For example if you have 10 employees , you may use their name for identification but when you have hundreds of employees , then you allot an employee number for distinguishing the similar names .

Astrologers in old days of poor literacy rate among people,  decided to divide all 27 nakshatra into four parts called "Pada" or steps , so there would be 108 parts of total zodiac of 360 degrees and 12 Rashis. This way each rashi had 9 parts while each Nakshatra had 4 parts of 3 degree 20 minutes each . This corresponded to Navansh ( D-9) Chart also.

http://www.astrouniverse.com/Malenames.php

The principle technique for deducing the name is to see which nakshatra the moon is in at the moment of birth; this gives four possible sounds. A refinement is to pick one sound out of that four that relates to the Pada or division of the Nakshatra.

The leader of heavens gate cult also had his followers do four things before he had them kill themselves. He specifically delineated the four.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nakshatra

Hindu astrologers (see Jyotisha) teach that when a child is born, they should be given an auspicious first name which will correspond to the child's Nakshatra. The technique for deducing the name is to see which nakshatra the Moon is in at the moment of birth; this gives four possible sounds. A refinement is to pick one sound out of that four that relates to the Pada or division of the Nakshatra. Each Nakshatra has four Padas and four sounds and each Pada is of equal width. The Moon remains in each Nakshatra for approximately one day.

A further refinement or opportunity is to instead use the Nakshatra that the ascendent resides in at birth. The same broad choice of sounds and Padas apply, but now the sounds change roughly every 15 minutes. The ascendent passes through all 27 Nakshatras every 24 hours, being in each one for 53 and a third minutes of time, and is in a Pada for 13 and a third minutes of time. By using the ascendent's nakshatra, instead of the Moon's nakshatra leads more to comfort of the Self, rather than comfort of the mother. This second approach is only really applicable if intuitively the Moon approach does not feel right.

Sybil 16 Personalities 16 Squares of the quadrant model. The novel Sybil was a hit

http://www.humanillnesses.com/original/Men-Os/Multiple-Personality-Disorder-Dissociative-Identity-Disorder.html

Sybil Dorsett was a 22-year-old college student who had amnesia * . She also had terrible headaches and sometimes could not see, as if she were blind. Upon turning for help to Dr. Cornelia Wilbur in New York, Sybil soon started to show other personalities. It was as if there were more than one person inside Sybil's body. One personality, who called herself Vicky, said she was from Paris. Another personality, called Peggy Lou, was a tough woman who showed no fear. As time passed, Sybil displayed more personalities: a writer, a flirt, a pianist, a mother, and even an infant and two men.

Dr. Wilbur noticed that each personality acted and sounded different from the Sybil Dorsett she first had met. Each personality even described his or her physical features in different ways. One said that she had blue eyes, while another said that he had brown. Almost everything, from details about hair color to gestures, changed as Sybil switched from one personality to another. In all, Sybil displayed 16 different identities.

Sybil is a 1973 book by Flora Rheta Schreiber about the treatment of Sybil Dorsett (a pseudonym for Shirley Ardell Mason) for dissociative identity disorder (then referred to as multiple personality disorder) by her psychoanalystCornelia B. Wilbur.

The book was made into two television movies of the same name, once in 1976 and again in 2007.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sybil_(Schreiber_book)

Mason is given the pseudonym "Sybil" by her therapist to protect her privacy. Originally in treatment for social anxiety and memory loss, after extended therapy involving amobarbital and hypnosis interviews, Sybil manifests sixteen personalities. Wilbur encouraged Sybil's various selves to communicate and reveal information about her life. Wilbur writes that Sybil's multiple personality disorder was a result of the severe physical and sexual abuse she allegedly suffered at the hands of her mother, Hattie.

Four player games with four characters became popular starting with Gauntlet and Quartet. The standard for video game consoles is four controller ports. If all four are played, the screen is split into a quadrant.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cooperative_gameplay

Gauntlet(1985) and Quartet(1986) introduced co-op 4-player gaming to the arcades. The games had broader consoles to allow for four sets of controls.

With the release of the Nintendo 64 (1996, 1997), having four controller ports started to become a standard feature in consoles, as the DreamcastNintendo GameCubeand Xbox all later featured them. As larger multiplayer games became feasible, cooperative gameplay also became more available. The latest generation of video game consoles all feature wireless controllers, removing port-based local player limits. However, its effect on multiplayer is probably less pronounced than the advancement of console internet capabilities.

The release of Doom in 1993 was a breakthrough in network gaming. Though arguably deathmatch was both the most influential and most popular mode,[citation needed]Doom's co-op gameplay was also significant. Up to four players could travel through the entire game together, playing on separate computers over a LAN

Seinfeld is an example of another movie quaternity. Friends had 6 main charcters, but originally the show was designed for only four. The six were three men and three women, kind of making three pairs.

3. Originally the show was going to focus on just four characters: Monica, Ross, Rachel, and Joey. Phoebe and Chandler were going to be supporting characters.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gilligan%27s_Island

Gilligans Island-The pilot featured seven characters (as in the series), but only four of the characters — and their associated actors — were carried forward into the series: Gilligan (Denver), the Skipper (Hale), and the two Howells (Backus and Schafer). As it happens, only these four characters/actors were featured in the opening theme song "cast list" used in the pilot, with the remaining three characters only mentioned as "the other tourists", although the earlier part of the song gave brief descriptions of all passengers.

Rocket Power is an example of a Nickelodeon show that was a quaternity. Will and Grace is a popular show that features a quaternity of four characters. The movie Half Baked with Dave Chapelle features four friends, with the fourth friend being put in jail, and the other three trying to get him out. The quaternity dynamic is a three plus one pattern, where the fourth is different.

The Brady Bunch theme song begins with the family in quadrants. There was a popular game show called hollywood squares, witht eh contestants in quadrants. The three plus one pattern, and the use of four is used a lot in game shows. I put a lot of examples on the quadrant website. For instance the tp chef game show pits four chefs against each other. Shows like Survivor mostly used 16 contestants competing against each other. Survivor was extremely popular. In one of the Survivor series, the contestants were divided into four camps based on race. The show the benefactor pitted 16 contestants against each other. Donald Trump's Apprentic would have 16 contestants compete against each other. Therw are 16 squares int eh quadrant model. The show who wants to be a millionaire had four possible answers the contestant had to chose from, placed in a quadrant formation.

Led Zeppelin is a famous four member band. Their untitled album Led Zeppelin was called "The Four Symbols" by fans because it featured four symbols representing the four members of the group. System of a Down is another famous fourfold band. In one of System of a Down's songs the lead singer Serj Tankian says "Father Why Have You Forsaken Me", alluding to Jesus on the cross/quadrant who said the same thing. The band Nine Inch Nails, it is said, got their name from the nine inch nails used to crucify Jesus. In a famous Naz song, "Do You Hate Me Now", Nas is crucified. A four note motif is used in the song from Carl Orf's Carmina Burana four note motif. Orf's Carmina Burana is supposed to represent the four stages of the Wheel of Fortune. The four stages of the Wheel of Fortune were described from ancient times to be

Orf's work is based on the four stages of the Wheel of Fortune. The fourth stage is the transcendent one that is different. The thrid one is the bad one. The first stage is good. The first stage of the quadrant model is about creation and is good. The man is inspired to reign. The second stage is good. The second stage of the quadrant model is good

Much of the compositional structure is based on the idea of the turning Fortuna Wheel. The drawing of the wheel found on the first page of the Burana Codex includes four phrases around the outside of the wheel:

"Regnabo, Regno, Regnavi, Sum sine regno". (I shall reign, I reign, I have reigned, I am without a realm).

The scream is an extremely famous painting. There are four versions of the Scream

"The Scream (Norwegian: Skrik) is the popular name given to each of four versions of a composition, created as both paintings and pastels, by Norwegian Expressionist artist Edvard Munch between 1893 and 1910"

The fourth version is different

Edvard Munch created the four versions in various media. The National Gallery in OsloNorway, holds one of two painted versions (1893, shown here). The Munch Museum holds the other painted version (1910, see gallery, below) and a pastel version from 1893. These three versions have not traveled for years.[2]

The fourth version (pastel, 1895) was sold for $119,922,600 at Sotheby's Impressionist and Modern Art auction on 2 May 2012 to financier Leon Black,[3][4] the fourth highest nominal price paid for a painting at auction.[5] The painting was on display in the Museum of Modern Art in New York from October 2012 to April 2013.

Grof's Four Perinatal Matrices

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stanislav_Grof

At this level, death may be encountered and birth relived.[25] According to Grof, there are four "hypothetical dynamic matrices governing the processes related to the perinatal level of the unconsciousness",[25] called "basic perinatal matrices" (BPM).[25] These BPM's correspond to the stages of birth during the process of childbirth

BPM 1- The Amniotic Universe. This is the original symbiotic unity of the fetus with the maternal organism.[26] Elements of this state can be accompanied with, or alternate with, experiences of a lack of boundaries and obstructions,[27] such as the ocean and the cosmos.[28] The extreme expression of the sacred and spiritual quality of BPM I is the experience of cosmic unity and the unio mystica.

BPM II- Cosmic Engulfment and no Exit

matrix starts with the onset of labor.[29] The intrusion of chemicals and the pressures of labor change the situation in the womb, and "interrupt the fetus’ blissful connection with the mother and alter its pristine universe."[29] Accessing this layer gives rise to strong feeling of "no escape".[29] When experiencing this level, the sense of loneliness and helplessness is overwhelming

BPM III- The Death-Rebirth Struggle. This is connected with the move of the fetus through the birth channel.[31] It involves a struggle for survival.[32] When experiencing this layer, strong aggression and demonic forces are encountered.[33] Biographical memories associated with this matrix include struggles, fights, and adventurous activities.

BPM IV- The Death-Rebirth Experience- Thisis related to the stage of delivery, the actual birth of the child.[35] The build up of tension, pain and anxiety is suddenly released.[35] The symbolic counterpart is the Death-Rebirth Experience, in which the individual may have a strong feeling of impending catastrophe, and may be desperately struggling to stop this process.[36] The transition from BPM III to BPM IV may involve a sense of total annihilation:[36]

Historically, in the LDS Church's Sunday School and Church Educational System (CES) classes, the standard works have been studied and taught in a four-year rotation:

Year One : Old Testament (also includes some coverage of related topics in the Book of Moses and Book of Abraham from the Pearl of Great Price)

Year Two : New Testament

Year Three: Book of Mormon

Year Four: Doctrine and Covenants and Church History

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nephites

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Urantia_Book

The Urantia Book is approximately 2,000 pages long, and consists of a body of 196 "papers" divided in four parts, and an introductory forward:

  • Part I, titled "The Central and Superuniverses", addresses what the authors consider the highest levels of creation, including the eternal and infinite"Universal Father", his Trinity associates, and the "Isle of Paradise".

  • Part II, "The Local Universe", describes the origin, administration, and personalities of the local universe of "Nebadon", the part of the cosmos where Earth resides. It presents narratives on the inhabitants of local universes and their work as it is coordinated with a scheme of spiritual ascension and progression of different orders of beings, including humans, angels, and others.

  • Part III, "The History of Urantia", compiles a broad history of the Earth, presenting a purported explanation of the origin, evolution, and destiny of the world and its inhabitants. Topics include Adam and EveMelchizedek, essays on the concept of the Thought Adjuster, "Religion in Human Experience", and "Personality Survival".

  • Part IV, "The Life and Teachings of Jesus", is the largest part at 775 pages, and is often noted as the most accessible[34] and most impressive,[35]narrating a detailed biography of Jesus that includes his childhood, teenage years, family life, and public ministry, as well as the events that led to his crucifixion, death, and resurrection. Its papers continue about appearances after he rose, Pentecost and, finally, "The Faith of Jesus".

In Plato's Republic Plato discusses the four virtues. Wisdom, courage, moderation, and justice. Justice is described as transcendent and even encompassing the previous three. Plato originally suggests a three class society but later he says that it won't work. He hints at a fourth class by creating a thought experiment where you put the three classes, representing a human and two animals, into another human, creating a fourth that the other three go into. Plato also discusses four regimes that fit the quarant model pattern. The third is democracy and has too much freedom/ the artisan temperament. The fourth is the tyranny which Plato says is ruled by a philosopher tyrant. The fourth is related to the ratinal temperament. Timocracy he says there is a secret worship of gold, but all in all it is kind of good. The first square is always good. The idealist temperament is the first square, and idealists, and idealists are kind of communistic like the timocracy, but they also do look up to authroity and may "secretely worship gold".  Oligarchy is the second regime which is characterized by being rigid and orderly. It is represented by the guardian temperament. Ultimately Socrates says that none of these governments work. These are, according to him the four forms of government that currently exist. He suggests that a fifth questionable government could be established which he tries to articulate in the Republic. It is kind of like a Kingdom of God. The fifth is always ultra transcendent. Like Plato, Aristotle describes four types of government that currently exist, and they fit the same quadrant pattern. All of the renowned works through history fit the quadrant pattern.

"Socrates discusses four unjust constitutions: timocracyoligarchydemocracy, and tyranny." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republic_(Plato)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republic_(Plato)

Leo Strauss identified a four-part structure to the Republic,[citation needed] perceiving the dialogues as a drama enacted by particular characters, each with a particular perspective and level of intellect:

  1. Book I: Socrates is forcefully compelled to the house of Cephalus. Three definitions of justice are presented, all are found lacking.

  2. Books II–V: Glaucon and Adeimantus challenge Socrates to prove: Why a perfectly just man, perceived by the world as an unjust man, would be happier than the perfectly unjust man who hides his injustice and is perceived by the world as a just man? Their challenge begins and propels the dialogues; in answering the challenge, of the “charge,” Socrates reveals his behavior with the young men of Athens, whom he later was convicted of corrupting. Because Glaucon and Adeimantus presume a definition of “Justice,” Socrates digresses; he compels the group’s attempt to discover justice, and then answers the question posed to him about the intrinsic value of the just life.

  3. Books V–VI: The “Just City in Speech” is built from the earlier books, and concerns three critiques of the city. Leo Strauss reported that his student Allan Bloom identified them as: communism, communism of wives and children, and the rule of philosophers. The “Just City in Speech” stands or falls by these complications.

  4. Books VII–X: Socrates has “escaped” his captors, having momentarily convinced them that the just man is the happy man, by reinforcing their prejudices. He presents a rationale for political decay, and concludes by recounting The Myth of Er (“everyman”), consolation for non-philosophers who fear death.[citation needed]

Solon's four tiered population

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timocracy

Solon introduced the ideas of timokratia as a graded oligarchy in his Solonian Constitution for Athens in the early 6th century BC. His was the first known deliberately implemented form of timocracy, allocating political rights and economic responsibility depending on membership of one of four tiers of the population. Solon defined these tiers by measuring how many bushels of produce each man could produce in a year, namely:

  • Pentacosiomedimni – "Men of the 500 bushel", those who produced 500 bushels of produce per year, could serve as generals in the army

  • Hippeis – Knights, those who could equip themselves and one cavalry horse for war, valued at 300 bushels per year

  • Zeugitae – Tillers, owners of at least one pair of beasts of burden, valued at 200 bushels per year, could serve as Hoplites

  • Thetes – Manual laborers

http://classics.mit.edu/Aristotle/politics.4.four.html

Socrates says that a state is made up of four sorts of people who are absolutely necessary; these are a weaver, a husbandman, a shoemaker, and a builder; afterwards, finding that they are not enough, he adds a smith, and again a herdsman, to look after the necessary animals; then a merchant, and then a retail trader. All these together form the complement of the first state, as if a state were established merely to supply the necessaries of life, rather than for the sake of the good, or stood equally in need of shoemakers and of husbandmen. But he does not admit into the state a military class until the country has increased in size, and is beginning to encroach on its neighbor's land, whereupon they go to war. Yet even amongst his four original citizens, or whatever be the number of those whom he associates in the state, there must be some one who will dispense justice and determine what is just.

Aristotle discusses Plato's four forms of government

There are still two forms besides democracy and oligarchy; one of them is universally recognized and included among the four principal forms of government, which are said to be (1) monarchy, (2) oligarchy, (3) democracy, and (4) the so-called aristocracy or government of the best

The stoics had four levels of existence

http://eprints.gla.ac.uk

As Simplicius reports in his commentary on Aristotle’s Categories (SVF 2.369):

The Stoics see fit to reduce the number of primary genera, and others they take over with changes in the reduced list. For they make their division a fourfold one, into substrates, the qualified, the disposed, and the relatively disposed.

Thus, the Stoics recognized four main levels of existence

In the Bible Jesus picks the first four disciples first. These four have always been seen as distinguished and represented as a foursome related to other foursomes by Church fathers, like the four elements.

Thomas Jefferson's last word was "fourth". Adams and Jefferson both died on the fourth of July.

https://www.monticello.org/site/research-and-collections/jeffersons-last-words

At 4 a.m. on the 4th, Jefferson did speak again. Randolph writes that Jefferson called in the servants "with a strong and clear voice." But what he actually said to them, Randolph unfortunately does not reveal. Jefferson lingered until 12:50 in the afternoon, but Randolph is clear that his last words were spoken that morning to the servants.

In summary, Jefferson's last words are lost; one supposes they were farewells to the household staff. His last recorded words are "No, doctor, nothing more." But these are perhaps too prosaic to be memorable. "Is it the Fourth?" or "This is the Fourth of July" have come to be accepted as Jefferson's last words because they contain what everyone wants to find in such death-bed scenes: deeper meaning.

Most asteroids outside the "big four" (Ceres, Pallas, Vesta, and Hygiea) are likely to be broadly similar in appearance, if irregular in shape. 50-km (31-mi) 253 Mathilde is a rubble pile saturated with craters with diameters the size of the asteroid's radius, and Earth-based observations of 300-km (186-mi) 511 Davida, one of the largest asteroids after the big four, reveal a similarly angular profile, suggesting it is also saturated with radius-size craters.[69] Medium-sized asteroids such as Mathilde and 243 Ida that have been observed up close also reveal a deep regolith covering the surface. Of the big four, Pallas and Hygiea are practically unknown.

In the famous atari video game breakout there are four rows

http://ataribreakout.org/atari-breakout-game

The blocks are arranged in four rows, each row has a color. The first row is blue, the next row is green, the following row is yellow and the last row is red.

http://healthgames.lmc.gatech.edu/blog/2008/09/breakout-atari-arcade-1975.html

Breakout is based on the idea of a single-player version of Pong. The player moves a paddle back and forth along the bottom of the game screen and bounces a ball against four rows of colored bricks at the top. The bricks disappear upon collision with the ball, with higher rows of bricks earning more points. If the player fails to return the ball, he or she loses a turn, and the player has three turns to clear the screen of all bricks. The game was a hit and is noted for being developed by Apple co-founders Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak.

  • Best New Artist is awarded to a promising breakthrough performer who releases, during the Eligibility Year, the first recording that establishes the public identity of that artist (which is not necessarily their first proper release).

Donkey Kong four stages

The game is divided into four different one-screen stages. Each represents 25 meters of the structure Donkey Kong has climbed, one stage being 25 meters higher than the previous. The final screen occurs at 100 m. Later ports of the game omit or change the sequence of the screens; the original arcade version includes:

  • Screen 1 (25 m)—Jumpman/Mario must scale a seven-story construction site made of crooked girders and ladders while jumping over or hammering barrels and oil barrels tossed by Donkey Kong. The hero must also avoid flaming balls, which generate when an oil barrel collides with an oil drum. Players routinely call this screen "Barrels".

  • Screen 2 (50 m)—Jumpman/Mario must climb a five-story structure of conveyor belts, each of which transports pans of cement. The fireballs also make another appearance. This screen is sometimes referred to as the "Factory" or "Pie Factory" due to the resemblance of the cement pans to pies.

  • Screen 3 (75 m)—Jumpman/Mario rides up and down elevators while avoiding fireballs and bouncing objects, presumably spring-weights. The bouncing weights (the hero's greatest danger in this screen) emerge on the top level and drop near the rightmost elevator. The screen's common name is "Elevators".

  • Screen 4 (100 m)—Jumpman/Mario must remove eight rivets, which support Donkey Kong. The fireballs remain the primary obstacle. Removing the final rivet causes Donkey Kong to fall and the hero to be reunited with the Lady/Pauline. This is the final screen of each level. Players refer to this screen as "Rivets".

These screens combine to form levels, which become progressively harder. For example, Donkey Kong begins to hurl barrels more rapidly and sometimes diagonally, and fireballs get quicker. The victory music alternates between levels 1 and 2. The 22nd level is unofficially known as the kill screen due to an error in the game's programming that kills Jumpman after a few seconds, effectively ending the game. With its four unique levels, Donkey Kong was the most complex video game at the time of its release, and only the second game to feature multiple levels.

Donkey Kong Jr also has four levels. The fourth stage is different.

Mario has captured Donkey Kong and placed him in a cage as punishment for kidnapping his girlfriend Pauline.[5] Donkey Kong Jr. must rescue his father from Mario by working his way through a series of four screens

Like its Donkey Kong predecessor, Donkey Kong Jr. is an arcade-style platform game. There are a total of four stages, each with a unique theme. DK Jr. can run left and right, jump, and grab vines/chains/ropes to climb higher on the screen. He can slide down faster by holding only one vine, or climb faster by holding two. Enemies include "Snapjaws," which resemble bear traps with eyes; bird-like creatures called "Nitpickers," some of which can attack by dropping eggs; and "Sparks" that roam across the wiring in one of Mario's hideouts. DK Jr. can jump over these enemies while on platforms, switch from one vine/chain/rope to another to dodge them, or knock down pieces of fruit that will destroy every enemy they touch before falling off the bottom of the screen.

To pass the first three stages, DK Jr. must reach the key hanging next to his father's cage, whereupon Mario flees while pushing it off the screen. In the fourth stage, DK Jr. must push six keys into locks on the topmost platform to free Donkey Kong. After a brief cutscene, the player is taken back to the first stage at an increased difficulty. A bonus timer runs throughout each stage, and any points remaining on it are added to the player's score upon completion.

There are four normed division algebras in a three plus one pattern. The fourth, the octonian, is different.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quaternion#Definition

Because it is possible to divide quaternions, they form a division algebra. This is a structure similar to a field except for the non-commutativity of multiplication. Finite-dimensional associative division algebras over the real numbers are very rare. The Frobenius theorem states that there are exactly three: R, C, and H. The norm makes the quaternions into a normed algebra, and normed division algebras over the reals are also very rare: Hurwitz's theorem says that there are only four: R, C, H, and O (the octonions). The quaternions are also an example of a composition algebraand of a unital Banach algebra.

https://ncatlab.org/nlab/show/normed+division+algebra

It turns out that over the real numbers there are precisely only four normed division algebras up to isomorphism: the algebras of

  1. real numbers,

  2. complex numbers,

  3. quaternions,

  4. octonions.

Sexual orientation is traditionally defined as including heterosexuality, bisexuality, and homosexuality, while asexuality is considered the fourth category of sexual orientation by some researchers and has been defined as the absence of a traditional sexual orientation. An asexual has little to no sexual attraction to people.[4][19] It may be considered a lack of a sexual orientation,[20] and there is significant debate over whether or not it is a sexual orientation.

THE 16 SKIN PERSONALITIES

The Baumann Skin Types system is a skin-type classification system defining 16 skin personalities. This classification system was developed in 2004 by University of Miami dermatology professor Leslie Baumann, to subdivide research participants into specific phenotypes. She assigns binary values to four characteristics, so defining sixteen "skin personalities", or "skin types". These have been used in genetic research aimed at identifying the genes that contribute to skin characteristics such as dryness, oiliness, aging, pigmentation and sensitivity. The a survey-based typing system combines these individual skin attributes into 16 personalities that allow researchers to improve their ability to identify various skin phenotypes and use that knowledge for patient selection for clinical research trials and to recommend proper skincare ingredients and products. The classification system has been adopted by estheticians, dermatologists, consumers and retailers to match cosmeceutical ingredients and skin care products to specific skin types.[1] The type assigned is determined by a self-completed questionnaire, marketed as the "Baumann Skin Type Indicator" (BSTI).

The typing system identifies four key skin attributes (dry/oily, sensitive/resistant, pigmented/non-pigmented and wrinkle-prone/tight), represented as D/O, S/R, P/N, and W/T. Combining these results in 16 possible types. For example, one type is ORPW (oily, resistant, pigmented, wrinkle-prone) while another is DSPT (dry, sensitive, pigmented, tight). More than just combinations of skin attributes, each type experiences different dermatologic problems, which indicate preventative measures and treatment options.

There are 4 unique subtypes of sensitive skin, and they are all different, all sensitive subtypes have inflammation in common.

  • Acne subtype: Develops acne, whiteheads or blackheads

  • Rosacea subtype: Experiences recurring flushing, redness and a hot sensation

  • Stinging subtype: Develops stinging or burning of the skin

  • Allergic subtype: Develops redness, itching and flaking of the skin

ANDRE WALKER FOUR TYPES OF HAIR

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hair

This hair typing system is the most widely used system to classify hair. The system was created by the hairstylist of Oprah Winfrey, Andre Walker. According to this system there are four types of hair: straight, wavy, curly, kinky.

  • Type 1 is straight hair, which reflects the most sheen and also the most resilient hair of all of the hair types. It is hard to damage and immensely difficult to curl this hair texture. Because the sebum easily spreads from the scalp to the ends without curls or kinks to interrupt its path, it is the most oily hair texture of all.

  • Type 2 is wavy hair, whose texture and sheen ranges somewhere between straight and curly hair. Wavy hair is also more likely to become frizzy than straight hair. While type A waves can easily alternate between straight and curly styles, type B and C Wavy hair is resistant to styling.

  • Type 3 is curly hair known to have an S-shape. The curl pattern may resemble a lowercase "s", uppercase "S", or sometimes an uppercase "Z" or lowercase "z".[citation needed] This hair type is usually voluminous, "climate dependent (humidity = frizz), and damage prone." Lack of proper care causes less defined curls.

  • Type 4 is kinky hair, which features a tightly coiled curl pattern (or no discernible curl pattern at all) that is often fragile with a very high density. This type of hair shrinks when wet and because it has fewer cuticle layers than other hair types it is more susceptible to damage.

One popular version of these systems classifies afro-textured hair as 'type 4' (straight hair is type 1, wavy type 2, and curly is type 3, with the letters A, B, and C used to indicate the degree of coil variation within each type), with the subcategory of type 4C being most exemplary of this hair type (Walker, 1997).[citation needed]However, afro-textured hair is often difficult to categorize because of the many different variations among individuals. Those variations include pattern (mainly tight coils), pattern size (watch spring to chalk), density (sparse to dense), strand diameter (fine, medium, coarse), and feel (cottony, wooly, spongy).[2]

MAXWELLS FOUR EQUATIONS DESCRIBE ALL OF EXLECTROMAGNETISM AND INSPIRED EINSTEIN

http://galileoandeinstein.physics.virginia.edu/more_stuff/Maxwell_Eq.html

Maxwell's four equations describe the electric and magnetic fields arising from distributions of electric charges and currents, and how those fields change in time. They were the mathematical distillation of decades of experimental observations of the electric and magnetic effects of charges and currents, plus the profound intuition of Michael Faraday. Maxwell's own contribution to these equations is just the last term of the last equation -- but the addition of that term had dramatic consequences: it made evident for the first time that varying electric and magnetic fields could feed off each other -- these fields could propagate indefinitely through space, far from the varying charges and currents where they originated. Previously these fields had been envisioned as tethered to the charges and currents giving rise to them. Maxwell's new term (he called it the displacement current) freed them to move through space in a self-sustaining fashion, and even predicted their velocity -- it was the velocity of light!

Here are the equations:

  1. Gauss' Law for electric fields:

(The integral of the outgoing electric field over an area enclosing a volume equals the total charge inside, in appropriate units.)

  2. The corresponding formula for magnetic fields:

(No magnetic charge exists: no "monopoles".)

  3. Faraday's Law of Magnetic Induction:

The first term is integrated round a closed line, usually a wire, and gives the total voltage change around the circuit, which is generated by a varying magnetic field threading through the circuit.

  4. Ampere's Law plus Maxwell's displacement current:

This gives the total magnetic force around a circuit in terms of the current through the circuit, plus any varying electric field through the circuit (that's the "displacement current").

Maxwell's equations are a set of four differential equations that form the theoretical basis for describing classical electromagnetism:

IN N OUT DISALLOWS ANYTHING BEYOND A FOUR BY FOUR. FOUR IS TRANSCENDENT- FIVE IS QUESTIONABLE

ALSO IN N OUT HAS A FOUR BY FOUR, 16 SQUARE GRID STICKER GAME FOR KIDS, THAT THEY CLAIM THEY ALWAYS HAD

Until 2004 In-N-Out accommodated burger orders of any size by adding patties and slices of cheese at an additional cost. A particularly famous incident involving a 100x100 (100 patties, 100 slices of cheese) occurred in 2004.[58] Once word got out of the massive sandwich, In-N-Out management disallowed anything larger than a 4x4.[59] One can also order what is called a "Flying Dutchman" which consists of two meat patties and two slices of cheese by itself (no bun, condiments, or vegetables).[60]

THE CROSSED PALM TREES AT IN N OUT

There are other design elements common among today's In-N-Out locations. Matching In-N-Out's California-inspired palm tree theme, palm trees are sometimes planted to form an "X" in front of the restaurants. This is an allusion to founder Harry Snyder's favorite movie, Stanley Kramer's It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, in which the characters look for a hidden treasure and find it under "the big W" made by four palm trees, with the middle two forming an "X".[61]

THE INCA HAVE FOUR CREATION MYTHS. THEY HAVE FOUR CREATOR DEITIES AND THE INCA BIBLE THE POPUL VUH HAS FOUR PARTS- ALSO THERE WERE ORIGINALLY FOUR MEN

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Popol_Vuh

Chapters 1-3 contain Popol Vuh's creation myth. There are four deities, three in a celestial realm collectively called Tepeu and Heart of Heaven and another on the terrestrial plane called Gucumatz.

Together, the gods attempted to create living beings so that they may be praised and venerated by their creation. Their first attempts (animals, mud man, and wooden man) proved unsuccessful because they lacked speech, souls, and intellect.

"This the Forefathers did, Tepeu and Gucumatz, as they were called. After that they began to talk about the creation and the making of our first mother and father; of yellow corn and of white corn they made their flesh; of cornmeal dough they made the arms and the legs of man. Only dough of corn meal went into the flesh of our first fathers, the four men, who were created. [...] And as they had the appearance of men, they were men; they talked, conversed, saw and heard, walked, grasped things; they were good and handsome men, and their figure was the figure of a man."[12]

Women were created later while the first four men slept.

Popol Vuh encompasses a range of subjects that includes creation, ancestry, history, and cosmology. There are no content divisions in the Newberry Library's holograph, but popular editions have adopted the organization imposed by Brasseur de Bourbourg in 1861 in order to facilitate comparative studies.[14] Though some variation has been tested by Tedlock and Christenson, editions typically take the following form:

Preamble

  • A brief statement attesting to the antiquity of the mythistory, its perpetuation in oral form, and its post-conquest writing.

Part 1

  • Account of the creation of living beings. Animals are created first followed by humans. The first humans of earth and mud soak up water and dissolve. The second humans are created from wood, "but they did not have souls, nor minds."[15]They lose favor with the gods who cause them to be beaten and disfigured before receiving a deluge of heavy resin.

  • Hero twins. Exploits of hero twins Hunahpú and Xbalanqué also known as Hunter and Jaguar deer.

  • Their defeat of Vucub-Caquix and his sons Zipacná and Cabracán, presentation of ball-game motif.

Part 2

  • Lineage of principal figures. Xpiyacoc and Xmucané beget Hun Hunahpú and Vucub Hunahpú; Hun Hunahpú and Xbaquiyalo beget Hunbatz and Hunchouén.

  • Demise of Hun Hunahpú and Vucub Hunahpú and origin of hero twins Hunahpú and Xbalanqué. They are summoned to the underworld of Xibalbá for playing their ball game too noisily. They are killed; Hun Hunahpú's head is placed in a calabash tree. This skull later impregnates Xquic, daughter of a Xibalbé lord, by spitting into her hand. She flees the lords and lives with Xmucané where she gives birth to "Hero Twins" Hunahpú and Xbalanqué. Mistreated by their half-brothers Hunbatz and Huchouén, Hunahpú and Xbalanqué trick them into climbing a tree. Hunbatz and Huchouén transform into monkeys.

  • Rediscovery of ball game and defeat of the lords of Xibalbá. Upon finding the father's equipment suspended from the ceiling, Hunahpú and Xbalanqué are also summoned to Xibalbá for playing too boisterously. They outwit the lords and ascend to the night sky as constellations.

Part 3

  • Creation of humans, migration, and first dawn. Animals gather white and yellow corn from which the gods create Balam-Quitze, Jaguar Night, Naught, and Wind Jaguar. At first, they had the knowledge and sight of the gods, but the troubled gods threw a mist that clouded their vision and destroyed the knowledge. Their four wives are later created while they sleep. Their descendants travel to Tulán Zuiva to await the first dawn. The god Tohil gives fire, but it is extinguished by hail. Tohil requires concessions to restore their fire, but the K'iche' hide themselves in smoke and obtain their fire without conditions. The K'iche' rise to prominence over the other tribes. The first dawn appears, dries out the land, and turns original animals to stone. Distinct languages evolve.

Part 4

  • Migration and division. The K'iche' travel into the mountains, find Gumarcaj where Gucumatz (the feathered serpent lord) raises them to dominance. Gucumatz institutes elaborate rituals. Cities are founded, significant architectural structures emerge to which fortifications are later added. Inter-tribal strife ensues. Anthropological correlation to terminal classic period (roughly 790 - 1000 CE).

  • Genealogy. States the lineages of several tribal rulers leading up to the Spanish conquest.

THE PROPHET HAGGAI'S FOUR MESSAGES

The prophet Haggai recorded his four messages to the Jewish people of Jerusalem in 520 BC, eighteen years after their return from exile in Babylon (538 BC). Haggai 2:3 seems to indicate that the prophet had seen Jerusalem before the destruction of the temple and the exile in 586 BC, meaning he was more than seventy years old by the time he delivered his prophecies. From these facts, the picture of Haggai begins to come into focus. He was an older man looking back on the glories of his nation, a prophet imbued with a passionate desire to see his people rise up from the ashes of exile and reclaim their rightful place as God’s light to the nations.

Unlike most of the other prophets, Haggai explicitly dated his prophecies, down to the day. He gave four separate messages, the first on August 29, 520 BC (Haggai 1:1); the second on October 17, 520 BC (2:1); and the final two on December 18, 520 BC (2:10, 20). These messages encouraged the people of Judah to finish building the temple and to have hope in God for the promise of blessings in the future.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hox_gene

Hox genes (a subset of homeotic genes) are a group of related genes that control the body plan of an embryo along the cranio-caudal (head-tail) axis. After the embryonic segments have formed, the Hox proteins determine the type of segment structures (e.g. legs, antennae, and wings in fruit flies or the different types of vertebrae in humans) that will form on a given segment. Hox proteins thus confer segmental identity, but do not form the actual segments themselves.

Humans have Hox genes in four clusters:[27]

FULLER SAYS THAT THE UNIVERSE IS BASED ON ARRAYS OF TETRAHEDRA- TETRA IS FOUR

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buckminster_Fuller

Fuller wrote that the natural analytic geometry of the universe was based on arrays of tetrahedra. He developed this in several ways, from the close-packing of spheres and the number of compressive or tensile members required to stabilize an object in space. One confirming result was that the strongest possible homogeneous truss is cyclically tetrahedral.[41]

UNIFICATION OF THE FOUR COLONIES

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Union_of_South_Africa

The Union of South Africa (Dutch: Unie van Zuid-Afrika, Afrikaans: Unie van Suid-Afrika) is the historic predecessor to the present-day Republic of South Africa. It came into being on 31 May 1910 with the unification of four previously separate British colonies: the Cape, Natal, Transvaal and Orange River colonies. It included the territories formerly part of the Boer republics annexed in 1902, the South African Republic and the Orange Free State.

At the close of the Anglo-Boer War in 1902, the four colonies were for the first time under a common flag, and the most significant obstacle which had prevented previous plans at unification had been removed. Hence the long-standing desire of many colonial administrators to establish a unified structure became feasible.

GEMATRIA OF THE TETRAGRAMMATON AND TETRACTYS 72

https://www.deliriumsrealm.com/shem-hamephorash/

In modern times, Jews don’t pronounce this name, but substitute HaShem or Adonai in its place. Other pronunciations include Yahweh and Jehovah (using the vowels of Adonai with JHVH).

So, Kabbalists of the 13th century and beyond used Gematria in attempt to re-discover this true name of God. One of the most famous methods they used was to create a triangle/pyramid shape with the letters and calculate the numerical value, which just so happened to be 72.

Having this number, 72, Kabbalists turned to the Torah, scanning the 5 books for anything that might add up to 72. They found 3 verses, which happened to be consecutive – Exodus 14 verses 19, 20, and 21. They then put the 3 verses on top of one another (in Hebrew) and each of the 72 columns of 3 letters became one of the 72 names of God. They added an angellic suffix to each – either IH meaning an angel of mercy or AL meaning an angel of judgment – and thus ended up with the 72 angels.

Of course, the associations go on and on, so DuQuette provided readers this nifty chart that incorporates everything together.

As you can see, the chart also includes the 72 Goetic spirits – which weren’t initially associated with the 72 names of God or the angels. They came to be associated because each is associated with a zodiac sign, as is each of the angels… put the two together and you have the nifty chart listed above.

THE 72 NAMES OF GOD ARE DIVIDED INTO FOUR COLUMNS LINKED TO THE TETRAGRAMMATON FOUR

http://www.mazzaroth.com/Introduction/Images/Schemhamphoras.gif

http://www.mazzaroth.com/Introduction/TheNamesOfGod.htm

Another powerful name of God, is the Schemhamphoras, or the Divided Name, which is hidden in the Book of Exodus, chapter 14, verses 19, 20, and 21. Each verse is composed of seventy-two letters (in the original Hebrew). If one writes these three verses' one above the other, the first from right to left, the second from left to right, and the third from right to left, one would get seventy-two columns of three-letter names of God. The seventy-two names are divided into four columns of eighteen names each. Each of the four columns falls under the aegis of one of the letters of the Tetragrammaton, IHVH.

The following are a list of the Hebrew names for the above: these could also be the names of seventy-two angels of Jacob’s ladder, or the seventy-two syllable name of God, made up of 216 letters.

Also the 360 degree grand circle of the Mazzaroth is 25,920 years divided by 72 names is 360 years per each of God’s names to manifest itself in the world. One zodiacal age is 2160 years containing six 360 year periods.

The Tetragrammaton appears to have its origin in the phrase found in Exodus 3:14 "I am that I am." I can assure you not many people would set through the hours of Biblical study it would take to review the actual names of God in the Scriptures.

To see number 37 Ani as to the Names of Angels in Genesis.

This name was pronounced only once a year by the high priest on the Day of Atonement. Tradition tells us that once every seven years they were allowed to orally pass on the secret pronunciation to their disciples.

ANGELS IN ISLAM HAVE UP TO FOUR PAIRS OF WINGS

http://guideangel.com/angels.htm

They are created from light, as 'Aa'ishah reported: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'The angels are created from light, just as the jinn are created from smokeless fire and mankind is created from what you have been told about.'" (Reported by Muslim, no. 2996).

They have wings.
Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): "Praise be to Allaah, Who created (out of nothing) the heavens and the earth, Who made the angels messengers with wings - two, or three, or four (pairs) adds to Creation as He pleases: for Allah has power over all things." [Faatir 35:1]

SCORSESE CRUCIFORM POSE

If you’re a man in a Martin Scorsese movie, you’re probably going to strike a very familiar pose, with your arms stretching out perpendicular to your torso. In other words, a position very similar to Jesus on the cross.

Scorsese uses these cruciform poses for characters like Leonardo DiCaprio’s Jordan Belfort in The Wolf of Wall Street as they puff themselves up with Messianic fervor, and for a number of victims of violence—even bums and mobsters—sprawled out on the ground. Some of the examples in this video from editor Milad Tangshir seem like a bit of a stretch, but after watching it, you’re likely to start seeing Christ imagery in the Catholic director’s movies in places you never noticed it before.

CHURCH FATHERS ARGUED THAT JONAH MADE THE FORM OF THE CROSS IN THE BELLY OF THE WHALE

http://www.osservatoreromano.va/en/news/today-the-cross-clothes-us-in-the-habit-of-life

In Matins, the canon replaces the Old Testament biblical hymns and Cosmas comments on the Old Testament passages as prefigurations and prophesies of the Cross of Christ. Moses already prefigured the triumphant Cross: “Outlining a cross, Moses, with his vertical staff, divided the Red Sea for Israel which passed through it dry, then he reunited the roaring waters, turning them against the Pharaoh's chariots, stretching out his invincible weapon”. Then Jonah, praying in the belly of the whale with his arms outstretched, prefigured Christ's Passion and Resurrection: “In the belly of the sea monster, Jonah stretched out his palms in the form of a cross, clearly prefiguring the saving Passion: therefore, emerging on the third day, he represented the resurrection beyond this world of the God Christ crucified in the flesh who with his Resurrection on the third day illumined the world”.

A HEURISTIC I USE FOR THE QUADRANT MODEL THAT I DISCOVERED IN 2009 THAT I DEVELOPED FROM READING THE GOSPELS IS THE SQUARES ARE THE LIGHT (MENTAL) THE WORD (HOMEOSTASIS) THE FLESH (THE PHYSICAL) THE TRUE WORD (CONNECTED TO THE SECOND SQUARE BUT OPPOSITE) AND THE TRUE LIGHT (CONNECTED TO THE FIRST SQUARE BUT OPPOSITE, FORMING A NEW QUADRANT)- FOR INSTANCE SIGHT (LIGHT), HEARING WORD (you listen to words) FLESH (TOUCH), TRUE WORD (TASTE THE MOUTH SPEAKING- THIS IS OPPOSITE OF THE WORD BUT THEY ARE CONNECTED IN THAT THE WORDS YOU SPEAK THE PERSON HEARS- THE FOURTH SQUARE IS THE RATIONAL WHO SPEAKS THE SECOND SQUARE IS THE GUARDIAN WHO LISTENS) AND TRUE LIGHT (SMELL- THE ULTRA TRASNCENDENT LINKED TO MEMORY/MENTAL LIKE SIGHT- THE FIRST SQUARE OF A NEW QUADRANT- THE SECOND QUADRANT)
